About the Role

This role focuses on embedding the company's payment and rewards infrastructure into other platforms, including banks, lenders, accounting software, and marketplaces. You will be responsible for building the strategy and playbook for this new function, leveraging existing conversations with tier-one partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the embedded partner pipeline end to end: source, qualify, negotiate, close.
  • Run discovery with partner product and engineering teams, and scope the integration path (API, white label, referral, co-brand).
  • Build and defend the commercial model on every deal: rate cards, revenue share, points economics, break-even, payback.
  • Drive term sheets, MOUs and commercial schedules through legal, risk and compliance on both sides.
  • Feed partner demand back into product and engineering to influence future development.
  • Manage the launch plan, enablement, and go-to-market for signed partners, followed by a clean handover.
  • Represent the business with executive sponsors and treasury teams at partner organizations.

Requirements

  • Experience closing embedded or API-led deals in payments, fintech, banking, or platform SaaS.
  • Understanding of the flow of money sufficient to defend a commercial model in front of a CFO.
  • Knowledge of economics and risk across card schemes, acquiring, interchange, BPSP models, settlement, PayTo, PayID, and the NPP.
  • Ability to read API documentation and whiteboard integration paths.
  • Experience running a structured sales process (e.g., MEDDPICC).
  • Comfort building a function from scratch.
  • Experience with loyalty, rewards, or points economics is helpful but not required.
  • Experience within a bank, scheme, or acquirer partnership team is helpful but not required.
