About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Mobility division, focusing on the development and modernization of railway systems. This role involves technical expertise in railways, project responsibility, and active business development to expand our rail business.

Responsibilities

Actively develop our rail business in Germany, expanding the existing pipeline and identifying new market and project opportunities.
Systematically expand existing and new customer relationships, particularly with DB and DB InfraGO, and actively participate in acquiring new projects.
Conceptualize proposals and service approaches, and subsequently lead acquired projects independently or with the team.
Work on projects including feasibility studies, electrification, project management/PMO, planning, and railway operations.
Support international teams with rail expertise in existing customer, acquisition, and project contexts.
Actively shape the further technical and organizational development of our rail sector as project business grows.

Requirements

Completed studies in transport, railway engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in the railway sector with broad and sound railway expertise.
Knowledge of the German railway market; an up-to-date network, especially with DB/DB InfraGO, is a significant advantage.
Experience in customer development and acquisition, with the ability to develop concrete opportunities and projects from market and customer contacts.
Experience in at least one of our relevant service areas, e.g., feasibility studies, electrification, planning, operations, or project management/PMO.
Ability to lead projects independently, integrate different disciplines, and present confidently to clients.
Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and a combination of technical competence with strong customer and business development orientation.
Negotiation-level German and English language skills (minimum C1 level).
