About the Role
Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Student Intern to join our Austin, TX office. This role offers the opportunity to develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems for various infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems.
- Understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform and check engineering calculations.
- Coordinate information with vendors.
- Perform field site visits.
- Back check drawings.
- Gain familiarity with computer software.
- Perform general clerk duties.
- Complete specific design tasks under supervision, which may include electrical system modeling, lighting and power calculations, electrical lighting and power plans, panelboard and equipment schedules, and equipment wiring drawings and schematics.
- Work independently on assigned tasks and seek guidance from experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Local to the Denver area.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship.
