About the Role
As Director of Research & Development, you will guide teams developing advanced solutions that enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will establish strategic direction for R&D initiatives while cultivating a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will oversee product development from concept through commercialization, ensuring successful delivery of effective solutions. You will support and develop teams of scientists, engineers and technical experts while maintaining strong connections across the organization to advance innovation and technological progress. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to scientific discovery through leadership of research programs and development of transformative products for the qPCR Platform BU.

Requirements
- Demonstrated success delivering innovative products from concept through commercialization.
- Deep expertise in relevant technical domains (e.g., diagnostics, biologics, instrumentation).
- Strong understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, GMP).
- Experience managing complex projects, budgets and resources.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success building and developing teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Experience managing matrix relationships and cross-functional teams.
- Record of supporting innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with stage-gate product development processes.

Salary/Compensations
- $192,100.00–$288,100.00
- Variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results
