About the Role
Willson International is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to serve as a senior subject matter expert, providing expert advice to a diverse client base. This role offers opportunities for independent and collaborative work to achieve comprehensive results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and launch Audit Program
- Complete and present “Regulatory Specialist Spotlight”
- Oversee the NCBFAA MOU program for Willson International Inc employees
- Prioritize and respond to incoming client inquiries of a regulatory or technical nature within land, air, and ocean environments, often requiring urgent turnaround
- Advise on the classification, valuation, and import requirements of merchandise, including tariff opinions, duty rate, and AD/CVD scope checks
- Research and advise on FDA, Agriculture, or other PGA import requirements
- Vet documents for compliance with CBP and other regulatory agencies, such as Powers of Attorney and USMCA Certification of Origin
- Perform post-entry work, including USMCA claims, Post Summary Corrections, and administrative refunds
- Manage the application or maintenance of Continuous Surety Bonds
- Stay current with regulatory changes impacting the client base
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum ten (10) years’ Customs Brokerage experience in a consulting, regulatory, or similar professional services capacity
- US Customs Brokers License required
- High School Diploma required
- Strong working knowledge of CBP and PGA import requirements
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Problem-solving, accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability required
