About the Role
This role contributes to the successful remediation of incidents across the Workplace Super business value chain, executing business analysis activities in line with defined methodologies and frameworks across several incidents simultaneously. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with the Head of Remediation, Product Owners, delivery partners, and stakeholders to understand incidents and plan their rectification. The role ensures clients impacted by remediation incidents are reinstated to their optimal financial position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Remediation, Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand what went wrong.
- Collate requirements to identify and remediate impacted clients (product rules).
- Engage with internal data asset owners to procure source data.
- Manipulate and analyse complex data from disparate sources.
- Provide meaningful data, insights and recommendations to Remediation Incident Managers to enable decision making.
- Ensure quality and auditability of outputs through testing, peer review and process documentation.
- Develop tools and techniques to optimise remediation processes and tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of business analysis or equivalent experience.
- Wealth Management experience in large financial services organisations (i.e., superannuation, investment, or insurance) is preferred.
- IT, Commerce or Finance related degree OR practical understanding and proven experience in the end-to-end remediation lifecycle.
- Intermediate level working knowledge of super registry systems and processes.
- Domain knowledge of corporate/retail super, pensions and group insurance: products, business processes, the regulatory environment and legal principles.
- Capability to extract, manipulate and analyse data to meet requirements, infer insights and form recommendations for the business.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills across all levels.
- Skilled in facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions.
- Must be able to work in a co-operative and collaborative manner with both internal and external teams and take all views and interests into account when formulating outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Clear and concise communicator who actively listens and values diverse perspectives.
- Must take full ownership of their assigned responsibilities and the outcomes that are generated and pursued.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic, changing environments.
- Collaborative team player who also thrives when working independently.
