About the Role
Watts Water Technologies is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Officer to join their HR team in Caringbah. This role involves preparing payrolls, coordinating employee lifecycle activities, and providing general HR administration, offering a blend of both payroll and HR duties.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee files with contact details, leave, overtime, promotions, transfers, tax deductions, and superannuation.
- Prepare payroll and process payment of wages and salaries.
- Complete weekly time clock, fortnightly, and monthly payruns.
- Generate reports, perform reconciliations, and extract data.
- Provide general HR administration, including preparing contracts and variation letters.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new employees.
- Manage employee records and update WorkDay.
- Build employee relationships, maintain talent management, and perform other HR activities.
- Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Support policy maintenance and coordinate workers' compensation.
- Generate HR and payroll reports for management on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Requirements
- Prior experience with ADP Lyric and Real Time is essential.
- WorkDay experience highly regarded.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll processing in cross-border environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, while operating in a high-volume environment.
- Highly developed communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Proven ability to build positive rapport and credible working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment background checks, National police check, and two reference checks.
