About the Role
Lahmeyer International combines extensive experience, technical expertise, and consulting competence under a unified brand, offering enhanced capabilities for complex consulting projects and demanding engineering services in national and international settings. We are seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join our Power & Heat team and contribute to our continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical concepts for energy and power plant facilities, create planning documents such as P&I diagrams or design reports, and undertake the design of process engineering systems and components.
- Take responsibility for the conception and planning of mechanical engineering for energy, process, and power plant facilities, applying expertise in pumps, compressors, gas turbines, and steam turbines, and overseeing procurement and implementation by manufacturers.
- Plan electrical engineering concepts and systems, prepare technical specifications and tender documents, evaluate bids, and support clients on challenging energy supply projects.
- Develop concepts for automation, measurement, control, and regulation technology, plan process control systems, and coordinate interfaces between different technical disciplines.
- Assist in the planning of new facilities and the further development of existing energy generation facilities, conduct technical assessments, and support projects through the planning, tendering, and execution phases.
Requirements
- Completed degree in a technical field such as process engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, energy technology, power plant technology, mechanical engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Many years of professional experience in the planning and execution of demanding engineering projects within the energy and power plant sector.
- Proficient in relevant technical subjects with the ability to apply this knowledge confidently.
- Interest in interdisciplinary project work and enjoyment in developing technical solutions collaboratively with clients.
- Independent and solution-oriented approach to work, strong communication skills, confident demeanor with clients, and willingness to engage with new topics and evolving project requirements.
- Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level).
