About the Role

Atlassian is seeking a Lead Product Designer for the Rovo & AI team, focusing on our flagship AI experience, Rovo, and AI experiences across the Atlassian portfolio (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.). This role involves partnering with teams across Atlassian to shape the future of AI integration.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes for customer experiences across the AI landscape.
Apply systems thinking to understand complex relationships between products, channels, and features for better design outcomes.
Utilize strong visual and interaction design skills to communicate work for influence and impact.
Drive design reviews and crits, acting as a craft leader and coach to other designers for consistent AI experiences.
Partner with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional team members to create a unified design view of AI capabilities.
Lead design projects from creation to execution, ensuring alignment with customer value delivery and outcomes.
Identify success metrics to ensure design solutions continue to deliver customer value.
Identify opportunities to enhance products and accelerate AI and search experiences.
Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for user experience and ship high-quality work.

Requirements

10+ years of product design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software.
Experience in creating and delivering strategic organization-wide design programs impacting multiple delivery teams.
Experience in end-to-end UX/product design to solve challenging problems.
Passion for storytelling and ability to bring design direction to life with compelling narrative.
Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility.
Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills to integrate work, synthesize feedback, and lead design discussions.
Experience in design systems and identifying common components for various customer use cases.
Experience measuring success with qualitative and quantitative methods.
Experience improving process and methodology to increase product value, team velocity, and accelerate adoption of new capabilities.
