About the Role
Ascension is seeking a dedicated individual to lead clinical flow, capture patient stories, master clinical documentation, and optimize the care environment to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience in the Dermatology department.
Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical flow by preparing exam rooms and prioritizing patient transitions.
- Capture the patient’s story by accurately measuring vital signs and interviewing patients.
- Master clinical documentation by transcribing diagnoses, orders, and follow-up instructions into the patient record.
- Optimize the care environment by managing essential supplies and materials.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Association for Health Professionals obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
