About the Role
Terra-Gen is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Risk Management department. This role will partner with departments across the organization to administer, monitor, and enhance existing risk management programs for comprehensiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the collection of underwriting information for insurance renewals.
- Review and analyze insurance submission materials.
- Provide recommendations on the appropriate treatment of exposures.
- Ensure post-renewal documentation is collected, reviewed for accuracy, and distributed.
- Assist with the administration of claims under all policies, with primary responsibility for general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, and adjusters throughout the claims process.
- Serve as the central point of contact for requests and issuance of Certificates of Insurance.
- Maintain and manage certificate issuance to counterparties.
- Support Legal and Procurement by reviewing insurance requirements and advising on appropriate insurance provisions.
- Support construction financing activities.
- Collaborate on the development of training materials for internal managers.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Stay current on risk management, insurance, and relevant industry trends.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required.
- Risk management and/or insurance designations preferred.
- 3 years’ minimum experience in a related risk management role required; 3-5 years preferred.
- 7–10 years of underwriting or broker service experience and strong proficiency in liability lines (general liability, auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella coverage) can be considered equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and prioritize effectively across multiple projects.
- Some travel required.
- Ability to drive vehicles on Company business and meet Company’s established Driving Criteria, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
