About the Role
The Sponsored Products and Brands team at Amazon Ads is revolutionizing advertising through generative AI, transforming how customers discover products and engage with brands. We are seeking exceptional software engineers to build the next generation of advertiser tools, focusing on simple, intuitive solutions for small and medium-sized businesses to grow their reach and sales. This role involves building redundant, highly available, and massively scalable systems that operate globally to enhance product discoverability and brand presence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own Tier 1 services that determine ad serving eligibility.
- Collaborate with software engineers, Product Managers, and Program Managers to design and develop new experiences.
- Design and build robust, scalable software systems that enhance product experiences.
- Own the complete lifecycle of software development and deployment, including system design, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production services at scale.
- Develop and implement scalable, automated solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Contribute directly to critical system components, writing high-quality code.
- Apply software engineering best practices and contribute technical insights.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Create technical documentation and communicate system designs.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members.
- Stay current with advancements in software engineering and cloud technologies.
- Use Gen AI tools to improve developer productivity and software efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
