About the Role

Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing assigned equipment to ensure production and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
Troubleshoot and correct issues on out-of-service equipment, acting as an escalation point for lower-level technicians.
Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems.
Maintain accurate records of operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems.
Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
Assist maintenance mechanics with tasks requiring multiple people or when operational needs demand.
Perform facility/building project work, including light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry, and plumbing repairs.
Assemble and test equipment to verify correct operation and production.
Analyze and record causes of production delays and initiate procedures to solve equipment malfunctions.
Examine defects and analyze spoilage causes, taking corrective action to eliminate problems.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment.
Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.
Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot these systems.
Willingness to travel at least/up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
Willingness to learn new equipment as it is brought online.
Ability to continuously ascend and descend ladders and stairs, work at heights, work from a lying down position, and work with hands above head.
Willingness to operate material handling equipment (e.g., fork truck).
Ability to write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers.
Ability to read information, often in small print (drawings).
Follow appropriate safety procedures (e.g., Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash) and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
