About the Role
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) will implement enrichment activities, provide homework help, and supervise youth aged 4-13. YDPs focus on various enrichment activities including dance, sports, art, and STEM.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Boys and Girls Club programs to club members in a fun and engaging manner.
- Implement lesson plans from the SACC Coordinator during enrichment and power hour activity time.
- Maintain open communication with other Youth Development Professionals, the SACC Coordinator, and club members.
- Oversee, support, and manage club members during program hours.
- Participate in periodical staff meetings and trainings.
- Co-deliver enrichment activities and programs with Youth Development Specialists.
- Ensure program areas comply with OCFS Regulations for School Age-Child Care, the Child and Adult Food Program, and grant requirements.
- Assist in maintaining inventories of program equipment and supplies.
- Ensure program supplies and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure the health and safety of students and staff by maintaining safe program areas with posted evacuation and emergency procedures and accessible first aid kits.
- Conduct daily club member health checks.
- File incident reports to the SACC Coordinator.
- Complete required training, including Foundations in Health & Safety and Mandated Reporter training.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, child abuse clearance, and offender registry check.
- Must complete a physical and PPD test.
- Must possess a valid photo ID.

- Ability to implement enrichment activities and programs effectively.
- Group leadership skills.
- Knowledge of principles related to youth development (ages 4-13).
- Proficiency in safety practices and procedures.

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Training or ability to obtain

- $16.25-17.00/hour
