About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and offices to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and functional.
- Respond to building emergencies, including after-hours or weekend tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify, report, and address issues with buildings, offices, or equipment.
- Address work requests through the department ticketing system.
- Perform minor plumbing and basic electrical repairs.
- Repair minor equipment and respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Inspect and replace light bulbs and emergency lights.
- Perform monthly inspections of building equipment such as boilers, water pumps, HVAC, sewage systems, commercial kitchen appliances, and fire extinguishers.
- Assist with departmental or employee workstation moves.
- Hang bulletin boards, pictures, and other building accessories.
- Dismantle, assemble, and install furniture, including cubicles.
- Install office or building signage.
- Rearrange furniture and prepare meeting rooms.
- Hang and remove decorations for events on and off-site, including transport of items and supplies.
- Receive, transport, and distribute packages and supplies.
- Participate in cleaning duties and provide backup coverage to the Day Porter.
- Transport items to offsite storage and maintain organization of storage units and other areas.
- Receive and restock janitorial supplies.
- Replace drinking water bottles and inspect filtration units.
- Clean and maintain trash bins and manage scheduled trash days.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid CA driver's license and vehicle insurance required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to follow tasks to completion.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating cooperation and flexibility.
- Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
- Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to travel to various office sites as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and use a pallet jack.
- Schedule may include evenings, nights, or weekends, and early mornings for building repairs.
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 8-10 feet.
- Routinely moves furniture and boxes during event/meeting set-ups, or performs other duties.
