About the Role
Omni-Serv is seeking Security Officers to join their team at JFK Terminal 4, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, enforcing access control, protecting property, and supporting passenger and employee safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor areas for suspicious activity, theft, or unsafe conditions
- Conduct routine and random security inspections
- Respond quickly to alarms and incidents
- Assist with crowd control and keep pathways clear
- Report safety, security, or maintenance concerns
- Maintain professional appearance and communication standards
- Follow all JFKIAT procedures and SOPs
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in access control and security screening required
- Airport, terminal, or transportation security experience preferred
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Possess a FDNYC Certificate of Fitness F-03
- First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-facing environment
- Strong situational awareness with the ability to remain calm and responsive during emergencies
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform assigned duties
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments, as operational needs require
