About the Role
Join our hospitality team as a full-time Restaurant / Country Club Host at Austin Country Club, a tradition-rich private club known for exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each member feels welcomed and at home by delivering friendly, first-class customer service.
- Engage with members approaching the host stand and offer assistance.
- Seat members at the restaurant and process waitlist requests.
- Explain ingredient offerings, preparation methods, and menu listings.
- Respond to member questions.
- Support team members and managers with premium guest services.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the dining area.
- Ensure the club environment is presentable.
- Monitor hospitality areas, including food and beverage storage, for cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Communicate arising issues to management promptly.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge about wine, liquor, beer, and food service.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Phone etiquette for handling to-go orders.
- Experience hosting or working for a club is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
