About the Role
Seeking an experienced Founding Engineer to build a production-grade Voice AI legal intake platform. This is the first engineering hire, focused on transforming an existing prototype into a reliable system for sensitive legal conversations, ensuring privacy, security, and correct routing.
Responsibilities
- Transition an existing conversational Voice AI intake receptionist from a prototype to production.
- Develop production-grade infrastructure for live AI-powered client calls.
- Implement embedded web-based legal intake.
- Establish privacy and security controls for sensitive legal conversations.
- Build infrastructure supporting sensitive client-fund workflows.
- Create a referral platform connecting attorneys, partner firms, and referred clients.
- Integrate telephony systems with partner law firms.
- Manage existing phone-system integrations.
- Configure and integrate IVR systems.
- Develop additional AI workflows based on partner-firm feedback.
- Implement reliability and production monitoring for high-stakes AI conversations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Recent applied AI experience at a strong company.
- Proven ability to take an AI prototype into a reliable production system serving real users.
- Strong full-stack capability with ability to own the product end-to-end.
- Production experience involving privacy and security.
- Comfortable building workflows involving sensitive information and client funds.
- Strong customer-facing ability.
- Able to personally install/integrate the product into customer environments.
- Comfortable working with existing phone systems and telephony integrations.
- Comfortable with an intense founding-stage schedule beyond a conventional 9-to-5.
