About the Role
The Security Manager oversees all security operations, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets with a guest-forward approach aligned with Faena’s brand. This role develops and implements security procedures, supervises the security team, and coordinates emergency response and risk mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily security operations including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reporting
- Lead training and oversight for all security personnel, including emergency response, customer service, and de-escalation protocols
- Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as needed
- Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols
- Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high-profile events, and public access areas
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reports
- Work collaboratively with departments including Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safety
- Maintain compliance with all relevant city, state, and OSHA security regulations
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in security or safety management, preferably in luxury hospitality, nightlife, or event environments
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a unionized setting preferred
- NYS Security Guard License required
- Fire Safety Director Certification strongly preferred
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, hotel property layouts, and threat assessment protocols
