About the Role
The Global Product Manager for the MDP Teaming squad is a customer-centric team member within the PSG product portfolio, responsible for delivering exceptional products to internal customers. This role collaborates with the Product Owner and team members in an agile squad to implement enhancements, processes, and policies supporting the compensation process for BCG’s Managing Director and Partner (MDP) group.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team with requirements discovery, backlog refinement, feature documentation, user support, and quality assurance.
- Represent the voice of customers and ensure squad members understand user needs and preferences.
- Support the product team in user story development and functional testing for continuous platform improvements and new capabilities.
- Triage and investigate escalated issues, working with the development team to deliver fixes.
- Analyze and break down problem statements, uncover requirements, and apply judgment and creative thinking to address business challenges.
- Understand business needs to help the Product Owner prioritize work of highest value each sprint.
- Lead meetings and requirement discovery sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with developers and QA, translating business requirements into technical criteria.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of user stories, workflows, and product changes.
- Ensure features meet business needs and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Apply analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Leverage function-specific digital tools to modernize applications into cloud-based solutions.
- Use AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity in daily tasks.
- Deliver complex, high-quality output, prioritizing work effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with a multicultural and multi-functional distributed agile team to align goals and timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience with business analysis and/or product management, preferably working with business and development teams in an Agile environment.
- Interest in working with technologies that support evaluation, finance, and HR processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Experience guiding business partners through trade-off discussions.
- Experience partnering directly with developers and QA to shape and deliver product enhancements.
- Experience in professional services or other highly matrixed organizations preferred.
- Experience with Agile product management tools like Jira Software and Agile tools preferred.
- Experience in working with geographically distributed teams.
