About the Role
HGA is seeking a paid summer intern for Summer 2027 to gain exposure to a wide variety of engineering experiences. This internship is typically 12 weeks long, beginning on or before June 1, 2027, through mid-August. The role offers the chance to build technical, professional, and communication skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, project solutions, and construction documents.
- Support engineering design calculations and analyses under the guidance of licensed professionals.
- Research applicable codes, standards, and regulations while collaborating with project teams and public agencies.
- Review and analyze reports, drawings, specifications, test results, and other project-related data.
- Utilize Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering software tools to support project deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to contribute to project success.
- Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to multidisciplinary design processes.
- Visit construction sites to assist with field observations, information gathering, and documentation, as opportunities arise.
- Develop technical, professional, and communication skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
