About the Role
Fenwick is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist responsible for the full cycle staff recruiting process, including attracting, screening, selecting, and onboarding qualified staff across all levels within multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Drafts and posts employment advertisements, negotiating and controlling ad and posting fees.
- Works with employment and temporary staffing agencies, negotiating and controlling employment-related fees.
- Drafts job and position descriptions for new positions and reviews existing ones.
- Conducts and coordinates candidate screening and interview processes, including resume review, testing, and referral of qualified applicants.
- Recommends final candidates to hiring managers and coordinates pre-hire and offer processes, including reference checks, background screenings, and offer letters.
- Fosters relationships with key stakeholders and partners with hiring managers to define job specifications, behaviors, and skills.
- Partners with HR Managers to ensure execution of firmwide recruitment policies and programs, adhering to state and federal regulatory laws.
- Develops sourcing plans for job opportunities, utilizing proactive recruiting and behavioral interview techniques.
- Stays updated on recruiting developments, networks with counterparts, and attends seminars for legal industry recruiting and employment law knowledge.
- Creates a positive candidate and client experience by ensuring speed, quality, and effective communication.
- Works with the Director of Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion to develop recruiting procedures and strategies.
- Mentors hiring managers on appropriate recruitment and legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.
- Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, and hires, providing internal recruitment reports.
- Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, and placement firms.
- Develops a presence in the legal industry and marketplace to facilitate contacts.
- Develops recruitment programs, including job fairs and events, to promote Fenwick & West LLP.
- Monitors and applies HR recruiting best practices.
- Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Willingness to travel on recruiting assignments.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills using a team approach.
- Ability to coordinate numerous projects and tasks simultaneously and set appropriate priorities.
- Ability to coordinate project resources when required.
- Ability to respond creatively and with composure under pressure.
- Ability to work beyond regular business hours as required.
- Mastery of applicable software applications.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
