About the Role
CACI is seeking a full-time Purchasing Lead to join their Engineering team in Rochester, NY. This role directly supports the R&D engineering team, reporting to senior leadership and collaborating with various divisions, primarily Engineering. The position is responsible for purchasing electronics, electrical components, assemblies, and contract manufacturing commodities from global industry partners and certified sources.
Responsibilities
- Purchase components for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) including active and passive components, transistors, transformers, connectors, and Integrated Circuits (ICs).
- Purchase material for customer deliverables such as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, cabling, and accessories.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers for custom design fabrication and assembly.
- Support management with research, analysis, and reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with teams across the organization.
- Experience with Purchase Order processing, Inventory Management, and Sales Order Processing.
- Ability to process multi-level bill-of-materials.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to systematically multitask and manage large volumes of data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently or with other departments to support all stakeholders.
- Experience with configuration management principles and PLM systems.
- Experience or familiarity with on-site custom manufacturing and off-site contract manufacturing.
- US citizenship is required to be eligible for security clearance.
