About the Role

As an Art Director, you will be responsible for working in partnership with account team members to concept, design, and execute multiple client projects simultaneously, including social graphics, digital marketing, and online advertising campaigns. You will establish art direction, style, and tone for brand campaigns across all channels, ensuring visual designs adhere to project requirements and uphold brand standards. This role involves liaising with clients, managing project timelines and budgets, and mentoring digital design team members and freelancers.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, and execute multiple client projects simultaneously, including social graphics, digital marketing (email and social), and online advertising campaigns.
  • Establish art direction, style, and tone for brand campaigns across all channels.
  • Ensure visual designs adhere to project requirements, objectives, and timelines, and uphold brand standards across all projects.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their expectations and develop and present a creative or brand strategy for approval.
  • Manage timelines, tasks, and budgets for each project.
  • Manage and mentor digital design team members and freelancers, including reviews, workflows, timelines, and design delegation.
  • Interpret complex ideas into visual narratives and brainstorm strategies with senior team members.
  • Negotiate with contractors and social media influencers to ensure timelines and project expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in fine arts, strategic design and management or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in the position offered or related occupation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Animate, Flash, XD).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD (Basics).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Invision, Sketch, Google Slides, Keynote, and Microsoft Powerpoint.
  • Conceptual thinking and hands-on design skills.
  • Knowledge of video editing and animation.
  • Experience with Web Flow, Asana, and Mailchimp.
  • Knowledge of typography, color, layout, production, and other design principles.
  • Knowledge of file naming, file formats, pixel dimensions, web optimization, and design accessibility.
  • Ability to change design aesthetic and approach to fit a variety of output mediums, campaigns, and audiences.
  • Ability to interpret complex ideas visually through color, photography, and typography.
  • Ability to communicate and manage the design process with stakeholders.
