About the Role
Direct Support Professionals are needed to provide services to consumers, implementing service and support plans to address habilitation, therapeutic, and behavioral needs. This role ensures consumer safety, health, hygiene, and development through various direct support duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to consumers through the implementation of service and support plans.
- Address habilitation, therapeutic, and behavioral needs.
- Perform direct support duties to ensure consumer safety, health, hygiene, and development.
- Support with dining and personal care.
- Assist consumers entering and exiting buses/company vehicles.
- Drive consumers to activities.
- Complete necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Sound decision-making and judgment.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- Reliable, insured vehicle.
- Clearance through the NYS Justice Center (OPWDD criminal background check).
- Clearance through the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
- Clearance through the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.

Salary/Compensations
- $18.25 – No DSP experience
- $18.75 – For 1-3 years documented DSP experience
- $19.25 – For 4-5 years documented DSP experience
- $20.25 – For 5 years or more documented DSP experience
