About the Role
We are seeking our first community hire to engage with the Factory community, manage online and offline events, and discuss technological developments. This role involves owning the ambassador program, running developer events, and building relationships within the tech space, serving as a recognizable voice for developers.
Responsibilities
- Build our developer ambassador program, recruiting and supporting cohorts.
- Run developer events end-to-end, including invitations and follow-up.
- Represent Factory at sponsored events.
- Serve as a visible and credible voice for Factory on stage, in workshops, on podcasts, and in live demos.
- Engage with developers in existing communities, including open source.
- Own the feedback loop to the product team, communicating community needs and outcomes.
- Create introductory materials such as tutorials, demo scripts, and workshop content.
Requirements
- Strong public speaking and listening skills.
- Excellent writing skills with an authentic, relatable, yet professional communication style.
- Sufficient technical understanding to demo the product and discuss trends in autonomous software, coding agents, harnesses, and LLMs.
- Ability to communicate quickly and respond to community members.
- 2+ years in developer relations, community management, developer advocacy, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of running events or programs end-to-end.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to ship early versions.
