About the Role
The Sales Planning & Development Internship offers a valuable understanding of how a revenue-generating team operates throughout the lifecycle of a deal. Interns will experience the sales process, gain an understanding of WSJ digital products to recommend based on advertisers' KPIs, and learn about digital order management and reporting systems. This role provides exposure to the entire pre and post-sales cycle and develops foundational skills applicable to other media-based roles.
Responsibilities
- Gain a basic understanding of digital advertising and learn about our digital process
- Help launch digital campaigns promptly by assisting with pre and post launch activities such as requesting any 3rd party ad-verification or reporting access, confirming billing schedules and sharing screenshots
- Assess performance and reporting data for digital campaigns
- Ensure all contracted media placements are delivered as scheduled
- Support the Planning team with billing process
- Help with research for proposals and special projects
Requirements
- Completed at least two years toward a Business, Finance, Marketing, Liberal Arts university degree
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to manage project priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem solving skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and on the phone
- Strong computer application skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program
- Graduating in Dec 2027 – July 2029 (U.S.)
- Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.
