About the Role
Pathfinder Development is seeking a self-motivated and highly ambitious Houseman to serve as an ambassador for the brand and hotel, providing Platinum Service to guests each day. This role represents the highest quality of service the company offers.
Responsibilities
- Provide Platinum Service to every guest, anticipating and exceeding expectations.
- Maintain flexible work availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Clean, organize, dust, and polish hotel corridors to high standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure brand cleanliness standards are met.
- Greet guests, anticipate needs, and provide platinum service as a Pathfinder ambassador.
- Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department head.
- Undertake additional projects to maintain hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Work efficiently without compromising quality or integrity.
- Set up meeting rooms according to provided specifications.
- Fold terry and linen as required.
- Retrieve supplies for Breakfast Host/Hostess and empty trash in the breakfast area.
- Clean the breakfast area thoroughly after breakfast hours.
- Clean public areas of the hotel, including touch-up cleaning as needed.
- Empty all trash and ashtrays from each floor.
- Clean ice machines on each floor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot, sidewalks, and dumpster areas, removing debris.
- Clean the front desk area during non-peak hours.
- Stock housekeeping supplies at the front desk.
- Empty trash in the Housekeeping Department.
- Assist in training new associates.
- Practice safety standards and ensure the property is safe for guests and associates.
- Use wet floor signs as required.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning regularly, including daily vacuum emptying and wiping washer/dryer.
- Observe and report needed repairs in public areas; report safety hazards immediately.
- Submit lost-and-found items to the supervisor according to policy.
- Follow proper use of approved chemicals, accurately label containers, and use goggles and gloves.
- Complete Chemical Training and Bloodborne Pathogen Training.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
- Practice energy conservation.
- Operate laundry equipment.
- Communicate effectively with guests, associates, and managers.
- Respond effectively to guest complaints.
- Promote teamwork and associate morale.
- Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
- Attend work on time as scheduled and adhere to the attendance policy.
- Participate in Daily Huddles.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask with close attention to detail.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining a high level of service.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Reports to the General Manager & the Sales & Service Supervisor.
- Cooperates with Sales and Service Associates and Housekeepers.
