About the Role
The Senior FP&A Analyst will own Behavox's core financial model, including its architecture, accounting, forecasts, and analysis. This role is responsible for influencing decisions by translating financial data into actionable choices for leadership. The analyst will integrate budgets into the model and build valuations, scenarios, and pro-forma models for acquisitions, while the steady state focuses on the operating model and SaaS forecasting. This is a high-autonomy position requiring the setting of modeling standards, accountability for numerical accuracy and integrity, and providing sharp recommendations, including downside cases, to senior leadership, the board, and investors. The role involves pressure-testing assumptions, utilizing modern tooling and AI, and continuous learning to drive influence through analytical rigor.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains the core three-statement and operating model with scenario and sensitivity layers, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and maintainability.
- Integrates budgets into the model without owning the budgeting cycle, taking ownership of output accuracy and assumption integrity.
- Builds valuations, scenarios, and pro-forma combined-entity models for acquisition evaluation and due diligence.
- Folds closed acquisition deals into a single consolidated view.
- Drives the substance of monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews for senior management, the board, and investors.
- Translates the model into a narrative explaining performance drivers and business implications.
- Diagnoses metric movements and identifies levers for change.
- Pressure-tests assumptions behind results.
- Provides decision-makers with actionable recommendations.
- Uses AI and spreadsheet automation to compress cycle time and harden data validation.
- Automates recurring work while retaining judgment for manual tasks.
Requirements
- Knowledge of how an integrated three-statement and operating model fits together, including the underlying accounting (SaaS revenue recognition and cost treatment).
- Understanding of how company budgets are built and how to integrate them into the model.
- Proficiency in both bottom-up short-term forecasting and driver-based long-term modeling.
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics that reveal performance and the levers that influence them.
- Ability to value an acquisition and integrate it into a consolidated model, including purchase accounting, combined-entity projections, and integration mechanics.
- In-depth understanding of how the business and its functions generate revenue, cost structure, and operating levers.
- Ability to spot inconsistencies in numbers immediately.
- Command of Google Sheets and Excel.
- Awareness of the AI and automation landscape, including trustworthiness of tools.
