About the Role

Oversees aspects of the Count Room, including table games count and slot drop pick-up, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the integrity of all Count transactions
  • Assists in table games count and slot drop, counting money, and reconciling gaming revenue
  • Prepares various reports, transfer sheets, and reconciles all totals to the Soft Count Summary
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Gaming Commission laws, rules, and regulations, as well as company policies
  • Manages team members of the Drop Count department
  • Maintains all records, reports, and other required paperwork in the Count Department
  • Conducts research to resolve Count disputes
  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending departmental meetings
  • Ensures accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Oversees recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, and counseling for assigned departments
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality

Requirements

  • Prior casino experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to supervise subordinate staff members
  • Ability to operate currency/voucher counting equipment
  • Ability to use computer equipment
  • Ability to move and lift approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to count large quantities of cash and prepare proper documentation
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a New York State Gaming Commission License

Skills

  • Working knowledge and understanding of a broad range of slot machines and systems

  • BA/BS in a related field and/or a combination of education and related experience

  • Work is normally performed in an interior resort casino environment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the resort casino
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24-hour casino environment and effectively deal with guests, colleagues, team members, vendors and members of the business community in all situations
