About the Role
Deliver high-quality surgical support in fast-paced Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVOR), upholding patient safety standards to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain sterile fields, prepping specialized cardiovascular instrumentation, equipment, and supplies in strict compliance with AORN and Joint Commission standards.
- Execute precise patient preparation, positioning, and draping to support direct patient care, surgical accuracy, and procedural flow for complex cardiac cases.
- Provide expert, real-time surgical assistance, anticipating surgeon needs, managing specialized instrumentation, and supporting hemostasis during high-acuity open-heart and vascular procedures.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- At least 2 years CST CVOR experience
