About the Role
Dairy One Cooperative is seeking a Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) Technician to help farms make decisions and achieve their goals by providing timely, accurate, and meaningful data. You will be on-site at dairy farm customers to perform data collection and provide guidance for better herd management decisions. This role offers considerable autonomy, though evening and weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform data collection on-site at dairy farm customers.
- Provide information and guidance to make better herd management decisions.
- Sanitize, set up, and clean equipment.
- Print reports and handle invoicing.
- Record cow numbers and pour samples.
- Monitor data for accuracy and deliver samples.
- Conduct on-site consultations with farms.
- Connect with the Dairy One team and management for assistance.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passion for working in the livestock industry.
- Candidates from various backgrounds such as genetics, feed, cattle, herd health, or relatable farming experience are welcome.
- No overnight travel required.
