About the Role
This role focuses on generating new business and servicing an existing customer base through quality, knowledgeable, and dependable service within the building supplies industry.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales for new and existing customers.
- Travel throughout assigned territory.
- Demonstrate product knowledge using hands-on resources.
- Quote prices and credit terms.
- Prepare sales contracts for obtained orders.
- Estimate delivery dates for customers.
- Prepare reports of business transactions.
- Enter pertinent information into CRM based on customer interaction.
- Track stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems.
- Attend trade shows as required.
- Work with peer Outside Sales Members as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a positive, professional, and courteous demeanor.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 3-5 years of related work experience/training.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of database software.
- Masonry and Hardscapes experience preferred.
- Experience reading architectural plans for takeoffs preferred.
