About the Role
Seneca Foods is a leading provider of packaged fruits and vegetables, seeking individuals to ensure product quality and adherence to manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Check net weights, percentages, proper coding, and metal detectors every 30 minutes.
- Ensure the correct product is being used.
- Record proper paperwork and prepare broker samples in coordination with QC and shift supervisors.
- Monitor Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) adherence throughout the production facility.
- Recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Complete all job assignments in accordance with established procedures to meet quality, production, and safety goals.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Wear appropriate clothing and equipment.
- Follow all good manufacturing practice guidelines.
- Keep work area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 lbs, sometimes in awkward positions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work under stress with good attendance.
- Ability to function without direct supervision.
- Ability to read and write English legibly.
- Simple math aptitude.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to function in temperatures ranging from -5 to +60 degrees Fahrenheit.
