About the Role
Copart is a global leader in online vehicle auctions, connecting sellers with over 750,000 buyers worldwide. The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using company-provided equipment, maintaining documentation, performing equipment inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment while adhering to company guidelines. This role also involves understanding Copart policy to meet customer needs and facilitate the Copart experience.
Responsibilities
- Move and load vehicles with a front-end loader or forklift.
- Maintain documentation of vehicle movement.
- Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machine and associated documentation.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow company guidelines for safe loader operation.
- Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.
- Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
- Operate company equipment safely.
- Assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
- Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
- Operate digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
- Set up yard for auctions within company timelines.
- Provide service to customers as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Load and unload vehicles as required.
- Pass training and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
- One year of loader or forklift experience.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Positive attitude/High Integrity.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
