About the Role
The Commercial Analyst role will support the day-to-day commercial aspects of managing M&G’s major contracts and relationships, ensuring M&G Life meets regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services are delivered.
- Verify supplier charges are accurate, challenge discrepancies, and ensure timely invoice payments.
- Provide analytical and reporting support to Commercial Managers.
- Offer insights into M&G needs and market trends to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
- Continuously challenge the cost base to identify cost reduction opportunities without service detriment.
- Lead and coordinate formal supplier commercial governance, including material production, minutes, and attendance at executive governance meetings.
- Support the development and application of Supplier Management best practices.
- Manage the cost validation and forecasting cycle.
- Respond to business queries regarding contract information.
- Independently manage aspects of M&G’s contracts under Commercial Manager direction.
- Independently manage smaller project initiatives.
- Identify and implement AI solutions for efficiency gains.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of analytical tools and techniques including AI.
- Working knowledge of financial modelling.
- Working knowledge of contract management principles and practice.
- Experience providing analytical support in complex business environments.
- Experience working in a commercial / regulatory environment.
