About the Role
We are seeking talented Cantonese interpreters proficient in Cantonese and English for a flexible and rewarding fully remote opportunity. As a remote interpreter, you will play a significant role in facilitating communication between Cantonese and English speakers, processing information quickly and accurately in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls professionally, acting according to the interpreter’s code of conduct
- Be familiar with industry-specific vocabulary (especially healthcare and medical terminology)
- Participate in internal professional training
- Communicate and report to your team leader
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Cantonese
- Based in US
- Minimum 3 year of interpretation experience
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client
- 90% English proficiency
