About the Role
Figma is seeking software engineering interns to make an impact across different layers of our product and infrastructure. Interns will be embedded into collaborative engineering teams, working closely with mentors and teammates to ship meaningful features, tools, or systems. This role offers a supportive environment to learn, contribute, and grow.
Responsibilities
- Be fully embedded onto a Figma engineering team
- Contribute to projects that directly align with team goals and impact
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to break down features and plan timelines
- Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure
- Share feedback and participate in peer code review
- Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship
Requirements
- Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. C++, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
- Solid grasp of core CS concepts like data structures and algorithms
- Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects
- Excited to explore how systems are designed and operate, from infrastructure to UI
- Strong communicator who asks great questions, collaborates well with others, and is excited to learn, get feedback, and grow as an engineer
