About the Role

EDC helps Canadian businesses succeed abroad by providing financial tools and expertise to explore new markets and reduce risks, aiming to build a better Canada and world through trade.

Responsibilities

Manage the ongoing maintenance of the Export Help Centre knowledge base, including content creation, updates, validation, and organization.
Develop and maintain content standards, governance practices, and review processes to ensure knowledge accuracy, currency, and reliability.
Respond to export inquiries from Canadian businesses through various channels, including email, web, chat, social media, and phone.
Provide guidance on topics such as international sales and marketing, customs and compliance, market intelligence, export regulations, risk mitigation, and trade practices.
Monitor and improve the quality of AI responses by identifying content gaps, validating outputs, tagging knowledge, and fostering continuous learning and optimization of the generative AI experience.
Research and summarize information from internal subject matter experts, content repositories, and external resources for exporters to formulate practical, client-centric recommendations.
Identify opportunities to refer businesses to relevant EDC expertise, products, and services.
Leverage client interactions to inform ideas for improving products, services, processes, and the digital experience to support team innovation initiatives.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in international business, business administration, commerce, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in global business, export advisory services, business consulting, or a related field.
Strong understanding of the Canadian export ecosystem, including government and private sector resources available to exporters.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with direct client interactions and the ability to translate complex information into actionable advice.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
Must meet government security requirements.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application (Canadian citizens or permanent residents).
