About the Role
This role is critical for producing Vouch's core financial reporting, including budget vs. actual analysis, headcount tracking, monthly close deliverables, and partnership payout management. You will also shape cost-to-serve and LTV methodology, directly influencing leadership's understanding of unit economics. The financial reports you create will be presented to internal executives and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will have significant ownership and direct exposure to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own headcount tracking and budget vs. actual reporting
- Produce monthly / quarterly / annual reporting for internal management, the Board of Directors, investors and other applicable 3rd parties
- Support the annual budget build and ongoing forecast updates
- Support monthly close deliverables, including accrual calculations and vendor coding
- Calculate and process monthly partnerships payouts
- Contribute to cost-to-serve and LTV methodology and calculations
- Deliver weekly budget vs. actual readouts to the business
- Meet with business partners to explain monthly results and translate insights into forecast updates
Requirements
- Ability to identify variances in actual vs. budget analysis without knowing the driver
- Comfortable owning basic accrual accounting and its analysis
- Experience building a bottoms-up opex budget
- Ability to own analysis and present it to business partners
- Communicate financial results clearly to non-finance audiences
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with evolving reporting categories
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or an accounting role requiring transactional analysis

- Chicago: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
