About the Role
Deliver and support electrical design services for building systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical components. Ensure designs meet codes, safety standards, and regulations, while adhering to company standards. Collaborate with other professionals to integrate systems, incorporate energy-efficient technologies, and manage project budgets. Oversee testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Create detailed documentation and stay current with industry advancements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and support electrical design services for building systems
- Ensure electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other industry professionals
- Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices into electrical designs
- Estimate costs associated with electrical designs and ensure projects stay within budget
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems
- Keep current with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, building codes, and industry standards
- Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems
- Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Sr. Engineers to ensure adherence to WB standards
- Attend project meetings and site visits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
- Equivalent of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- Revit experience preferred
- High proficiency in AutoCAD
- Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes
