About the Role
The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for resolving incidents escalating to or originating at the Systems Engineer level.
Responsibilities
- Administration of the Microsoft computing environment including Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, and Domain Names Services (DNS).
- Troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as NIC, cabling, and TCP/IP configuration.
- Basic messaging system administration (e-mail).
- PC and server hardware troubleshooting and repair/replacement.
- Responding to trouble tickets from the Service Desk.
- Performing hardware and software system updates, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes.
- Backup and recovery functions.
Requirements
- Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.
- Must maintain a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.
- Five to Seven (5-7) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Satisfactory background screening.
- Negative drug test.
- Positive references.
- Proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
- High level of familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS).
- Familiarity with basic network technologies.
- Capable of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues.
- Basic messaging system administration (e-mail).
- PC and server hardware familiarity.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem repair/replacement procedures.
- Respond to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
- Perform hardware and software System updates, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes.
