About the Role

Cimpress Open is building the financial and pricing engine for its commercial business, spanning B2C marketplace sales and B2B wholesale/white-label partnerships. This role will lead the build of this engine, operating with startup speed and ownership backed by public company resources. The Finance Manager will go beyond traditional reporting, taking the lead on complex commercial challenges and building analytical tools for business scaling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build pricing programs across B2C marketplace channels and B2B wholesale/white-label models, balancing customer economics, competitive positioning, and margin targets.
  • Build competitive intelligence frameworks, including price comparison and benchmarking models, to inform pricing decisions and track market position.
  • Develop financial reporting from the ground up, including P&L, channel and product profitability, and management reporting packages.
  • Build commercial and operational analytics, such as dashboards and tools, to track unit economics, channel performance, and operational KPIs in real time.
  • Create and stress-test business cases for new products, channels, pricing changes, and investment decisions, including scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Own profitability by SKU, channel, and customer segment, identifying and acting on opportunities to improve margins.
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and product teams to translate data into decisions.
  • Undertake new, unplanned analyses and projects, often taking a loosely-defined problem and running with it.
  • Improve financial processes and systems to scale with the business, replacing manual workarounds with better tools and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of finance experience, ideally within a startup or scaleup environment where frameworks were built from scratch.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional business partnering, blending FP&A with strategic commercial operations.
  • Pricing experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or wholesale/distribution businesses.
  • Direct exposure to Amazon or other online marketplace economics is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with confidence in financial modeling, unit economics, and building analysis from raw data.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency required.
  • SQL or BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI are a plus.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach, with a track record of turning ambiguous commercial problems into actionable P&L models and strategies.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Additional European languages are a plus.
