About the Role
The Global Business Director leads and grows relationships with key global financial institution clients, driving revenue growth, managing senior client relationships, shaping commercial strategy, and delivering long-term value. This senior commercial lead role involves developing account plans, identifying growth opportunities, and managing a portfolio of top-tier clients globally.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of strategic global financial institution clients, driving revenue growth, deepening executive relationships, and developing account strategies.
- Act as the senior commercial lead across key accounts, identifying opportunities to expand Derivia’s presence across products, regions, and business lines.
- Ensure a consistent and coordinated client approach.
- Work closely with sales, product, legal, finance, operations, engineering, and customer success teams to align delivery and support complex commercial engagements.
- Ensure client priorities are reflected in broader business decisions.
- Help shape solution direction and support innovation initiatives.
- Maintain strong governance, risk management, and compliance across global client engagements.
- Lead and grow a portfolio of strategic global client relationships with accountability for commercial performance and long-term account development.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead complex commercial discussions, negotiations, and renewals.
- Develop and drive account plans that identify growth opportunities across products, regions, and business lines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver consistent execution, respond to client priorities, and support innovation, governance, and risk management.
Requirements
- Strong strategic account leadership and familiarity with enterprise sales.
- Excellent executive communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and deal-shaping experience.
- Ability to lead across complex, matrixed organizations and align diverse stakeholders.
- 10–20+ years’ experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, capital markets, financial data, fintech, or market infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing global banking clients, multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios, complex enterprise negotiations, and senior executive stakeholder relationships.
