About the Role
As a teacher with Scholars Academies, you will be student-facing the majority of the day. You will work closely with your grade team and the instructional leadership team to internalize and develop curriculum, provide high-quality instruction, track student progress, and create a positive classroom culture. You will also act as a class advisor, providing mentorship and support throughout students' high school careers. The team collaborates to prepare students with the skills, character, and well-being needed to excel academically, lead their communities, and realize their potential.

Requirements
- Expertise teaching History/Social Studies at the Middle School level or above
- Hold yourself to high professional and ethical standards
- Experience with or excitement about researching best practices in anti-racist pedagogy
- Enjoy and/or have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities
- Believe that every student can and will learn when provided with a quality education
- Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of students who historically have not had equitable access to education opportunities
- Willing to be flexible in your role and adapt to school and student needs
- Committed to continuous improvement and learning through professional development
- Minimum of two years of experience in relevant educational positions
