About the Role

Responsibilities
- Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays efficiently.
- Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before storing.
- Maintain a clean and organized dish area, ensuring sanitary wash cycles.
- Mop and sanitize dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways.
- Remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
- Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation.
- Safely operate a trash compactor and maintain its cleanliness.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members for efficient workflow and communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
