About the Role
This role is responsible for safely bending standard sizes and radii of elbows/sweeps and safely packaging finished product in proper quantities for shipment. The position requires keeping work areas safe, clean, and organized.
Responsibilities
- Safely bend standard sizes and radii of elbows/sweeps
- Safely package finished product in proper quantities for shipment
- Keep work areas safe, clean & organized
- Complete QA and Work Order paperwork correctly and accurately
- Produce quality swedge and repair couplings that meet or exceed QA specifications
- Test and measure product to ensure conformance with required specifications
- Ensure the appearance of the end product meets or exceeds market requirements
- Change out bell pins and strip plates
- Safely produce straight cuts on both the table saw and chop saw
- Accurately record scrap product
- Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas
- Know and follow plant safety rules
- Wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves and hi-vis clothing)
- Perform all other assigned duties
Requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- Works as a positive team member that helps lift others to a higher level
