About the Role
As an Advanced Software Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead advanced software development projects, enhance and maintain critical software components, and troubleshoot complex issues. Your expertise will optimize software performance and drive innovation. This role is vital in ensuring the highest levels of reliability, availability, and performance for our advanced physical security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Understand Git or similar version management tools.
- Possess a passion for automation.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Enjoy working on a collaborative team.
- Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity, deployment reliability, and engineering efficiency across multiple product teams.
- Develop tools to enhance the full development process from design to production.
- Measure and improve engineering productivity and satisfaction.
- Relentlessly prioritize delivery speed and reliability to drive engineering efficiency across the team.
- Design, build, and evolve CI/CD platforms leveraging Jenkins, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
- Design and maintain infrastructure as code to guarantee consistent and efficient continuous delivery across various environments for a SaaS solution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues across both development and production environments.
- Leverage data and metrics to support decision making.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience building automated delivery pipelines.
- 3+ years developing or maintaining software in at least one language (TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Python, Java etc.).
- Experience developing RESTful API endpoints to facilitate seamless data exchange and integration between various applications and services.
- Experience with shell scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- 3+ years with event-driven and microservices architectures.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization).
