Responsibilities

  • Provide a user-focused service experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Demonstrate behaviors outlined in the ‘Behaviors Playbook’.
  • Continuously build relationships to understand evolving needs and service trends.
  • Ensure immaculate presentation of the ground floor entrance and café hub.
  • Prioritize the welcome experience, visitor processing, and visitor journeys.
  • Welcome visitors immediately with warmth and attention.
  • Ensure quick communication of visitor arrivals when automated options are not used.
  • Care for waiting visitors, offering assistance and acting as an ambassador.
  • Ensure visitors and employees receive a warm farewell and check for onward journey assistance.
  • Be visible and accessible as the first point of contact for queries.
  • Conduct regular audits of the Welcome Space for cleanliness and condition, resolving or escalating issues.
  • Adhere to all health and safety safe systems of work, including Risk Assessments, manual handling, floor & fire exit checks, first aid, fire marshal duties, and mental health champion responsibilities.
  • Oversee the utilization of working space and gather employee feedback.
  • Promote and support the business with technology for all workstreams.
  • Promote the benefits of pre-booking visitors and assist with pre-arrival services.
  • Provide proactive IT support and setup, both in-person and remotely.
  • Manage and set up rooms proactively, seeking business support as needed.
  • View challenges and complaints as opportunities for resolution and escalation.
  • Take an active role in understanding and contributing to long-term solutions for challenges and complaints.
  • Own the new starter's first-day journey, including building and service inductions.
  • Act as a change advocate, motivating others with new initiatives.
  • Manage vending areas, kitchens, and pantries, ensuring high standards.
  • Assign lockers in line with office procedures.
  • Carry out archiving responsibilities.
  • Support with post and parcel management.
  • Utilize technology to drive communication and connectivity with employees.
  • Participate in user and stakeholder engagement meetings.
  • Recognize employee milestones like birthdays and work anniversaries.
  • Contribute ideas for and drive the employee experience events calendar.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Workplace Services policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
  • Offer input and perspective at team meetings with reason and emotional intelligence.
  • Provide input into the monthly report within requested timeframes.
  • Take an active role in training and supporting new colleagues.
  • Attend training courses and apply learnings to daily service.
  • Take charge of personal development, contributing to appraisals and seeking training opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all Avison Young policies (GDPR, Bribery, Bullying and Harassment, unconscious bias).
  • Participate and assist with client visits and prospective occupier show rounds.
  • Act as an Ambassador for Avison Young at all times.
