About the Role
The Warehouse Team Lead acts as a backup to the supervisor in a busy electronics manufacturing company, supporting the training of associates and ensuring efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the training of other warehouse associates.
- Provide support and guidance to keep the operation moving efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts to safely unload carriers.
- Inspect deliveries for damages and discrepancies.
- Handle mechanical and electrical components.
- Use computer programs for the receipt of purchased goods.
- Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures.
- Pick and pack sales orders, work orders and kits for the production floor daily.
- Train and oversee the work of other warehouse associates.
- Serve as a back-up to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts to safely unload carriers.
- Capable of inspecting deliveries for damages, and discrepancies.
- Experience in inventory management, storekeeping, and stockroom operations for handling mechanical and electrical components.
- Working knowledge of computer programs for the receipt of purchased goods.
- Must be able to lift or pull objects up to 50+ lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Works well with others to assist in their job duties and train as required.
